Terms of Use for Pop & Go

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the popandgo.gr website (the “Website”) and the Pop & Go mobile application (the “App”) — together, the “Service” — operated by Pop & Go (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.
1. The Service
The Website is a free directory of movies, cinemas and showtimes in Greece. The App additionally offers optional features such as user accounts, favourite cinemas, reviews, lists, a viewing diary and notifications, as well as the optional Pop & Go Pro subscription described in section 4.
We do not sell cinema tickets. Any ticket purchase takes place directly with the cinema or a third-party ticket seller, under their own terms.
2. Showtime and Cinema Information
Schedules, showtimes, prices and venue details are aggregated from cinemas and publicly available sources. They can change at any time and may contain errors or omissions. Always confirm with the cinema before making plans. We provide this information without any guarantee of accuracy, completeness or availability.
3. Accounts (App)
To create an account you must be at least 15 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian as provided by Greek law. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and remain responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the App or as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Pop & Go Pro (App)
Pop & Go Pro (“Pro”) is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features in the App, such as more lists and collaborators, a custom profile backdrop and the Pro badge. The features included in Pro may change over time.
Billing. Pro is sold as an auto-renewing yearly subscription through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, at the price shown in the App before you confirm the purchase. Payment is charged to your store account. The subscription renews automatically for another year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your store account’s subscription settings; cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policies.
Usage limits. To keep the Service fast and fair for everyone, features are subject to the following limits, which we may adjust:
- Lists per account: 5 on a free account, 100 with Pro.
- Collaborators per shared list, not counting the owner: 8 on a free account, 20 with Pro.
- Films per list: 500.
- Custom profile backdrop: Pro only.
Where the App describes a Pro feature as “unlimited”, it refers to the Pro limit above, which is set well beyond ordinary use. The limits of a shared list follow the plan of the list’s owner.
Your account. Pro is linked to the Pop & Go account that was signed in when you purchased it. If you sign in with a different Pop & Go account, use “Restore purchases” on the Pro page to move Pro to it. If your subscription ends, content you created with Pro is kept; some Pro features (such as the custom backdrop) stop being shown, and you cannot go beyond the free limits until you subscribe again.
5. Your Content (App)
Content you submit (such as reviews or photos) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the Service. You are responsible for your content: it must be lawful, must not infringe the rights of others, and must not be abusive, defamatory, misleading or spam. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to interfere with the operation or security of the Service, circumvent technical restrictions, harvest data in bulk through automated means (normal search-engine indexing excepted), impersonate others, or submit false information.
7. Intellectual Property
The design, branding and original content of the Service belong to us. Movie metadata and images are provided via TMDB — this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Movie titles, posters, trailers and related trademarks belong to their respective owners; cinema names and marks belong to the respective venues. They are used solely to identify the works and venues listed.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service links to third parties such as cinema websites, ticket sellers and app stores. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or operation.
9. Disclaimer
Except for the Pro subscription, the Service is provided free of charge. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Greek law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including missed screenings or decisions made in reliance on listed information. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or affects mandatory statutory rights you hold as a consumer.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Greek law, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your place of residence. As a consumer you may also refer disputes to the Greek Consumer’s Ombudsman (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή), an independent alternative dispute resolution body.
